Winter visitors!  Imagine the surprise when the back door opens and outside lies a moose.  Her calf (a BIG calf) was not far behind and they took their time feeding from the apple tree and lounging in the snow not minding our presence at all.  We often see moose tracks in the plot on the Ridge and it was exciting to see the real thing.  We enjoy the wildlife we see on the ridge but are happy to give visitors like this a wide berth.
