It was a treat to have one of Idaho's great botanists visit us on the Ridge this spring. During a trip to Moscow to work at the University of Idaho Stillinger Herbarium, Michael Mancuso stepped back onto the Palouse for an afternoon hike. He hit the peak bloom of the Arrowleaf balsamroot and many other early spring wildflowers. ![]() Michael and Brenda are pictured here admiring those tiny wildflowers that often get overlooked by the casual observer. It's great to share our Palouse Prairie remnant with those who can help us learn more about how rich and diverse the Palouse plant community really is. Thanks for visiting! |
