The Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute (PCEI) in Moscow came for a tour and to help out on Paradise Ridge last week. Members of the Watershed Restoration and Environmental Education crews came up to learn a little more about Palouse natives and our operation as well as to see the plants that they regularly work with in their natural setting. In addition to the tour they lent a hand collecing Arrowleaf Balsamroot (Balsamorhiza sagittata) seed on the western slope of the ridge. All of those extra hands carefully collecting seed with us really helped us out! Thanks and nice work! The little sunflower (Helianthella uniflora) is the yellow flower shown in the photo and was in full bloom making for a lovely time to be up on the ridge. |
