It's that glorious time of year when the majority of our wildflowers are in bloom.  The plot is a rainbow of colors and the rows were particularly vibrant under the cloudy skies of last week.  The late spring rains really made many of these flowers pop!



The Clarkia (Clarkia pulchella) pictured below is in full bloom. We hope to collect lots of seed off of this annual this year.



Also, the Prairie smoke (Geum triflorum) continues to be spectacular with its amazing Dr. Seuss like seed heads.  Brenda likes this stage of the Prairie Smoke best!
