It's that glorious time of year when the majority of our wildflowers are in bloom. The plot is a rainbow of colors and the rows were particularly vibrant under the cloudy skies of last week. The late spring rains really made many of these flowers pop! ![]() The Clarkia (Clarkia pulchella) pictured below is in full bloom. We hope to collect lots of seed off of this annual this year. ![]() Also, the Prairie smoke (Geum triflorum) continues to be spectacular with its amazing Dr. Seuss like seed heads. Brenda likes this stage of the Prairie Smoke best! ![]() |
