The sunshine and warmer weather the last few days has been great for our plants and for us!  We have taken advantage of the bluebird days to gt some much needed work done on the plot.  We also went up to the ridge to check out the flowers, so here's a quick bloom report.

The glacier lilies (Erythronium grandiflorum) are blooming in the trees,

and the blue eyed Mary (Collinsia parviflora) are out as well,

Also, the grass widows, yellow bells, and buttercups are still blooming while the nine-leaf lomatium (Lomatium triternatum) is just beginning its flowering period, I've seen this on on the ridge and on the side of the roads on my way to work!)

We enjoy not only the flowers but the fresh new green growth of our wildflowers before the flower comes.

The Arrowleaf balsamroot (Balsamorhiza sagittata) are coming along and a few are displaying the tips of yellow petals.

The lupine leaves...

and emerging Fern-leaf lomatium (Lomatium dissectum) are also on display this week.

There's lots more happening up there so get outside and enjoy the weather and the flowers!
