Every time we use a different seed in our drills we need to calibrated the drill to get the correct seeds/sq ft we are shooting for.  This time it is Frank, our grass seed field rep with Clearwater Seed, who is sitting on the back of the drill doing the dirty work.  Frank is counting the number and how often  Blue Wild Rye/  seeds are dropping into a row.  The drill "openers" are adjusted until the desired seed spacing is obtained.
Wayne finished our the seeding just before it rained over 1 inch plus snowed.

The last fields seeded were Blue Wild Rye and Beluga lentils.    This spring was a busy one   When the fields dried out between the rain and snow, we planted spring wheat for Shepherd's Grain, dry peas, Red chief lentils, garbanzos, Beluga lentils, Blue Wild Rye grass, Blanketflower and Lewis flax.
